50 to 400 guests · roka · ring ceremony · silver and golden anniversaries

Ring, silver, golden: not a large dinner.

Fifty guests is the buffet floor; four hundred is the live-counter ceiling. A Mumbai roka or anniversary sits in that band, with two families who have not agreed a menu. Kravvia, founded 1999 in Santacruz, seats both sides at a tasting before the booking, at the portion sizes the night will use.

The usual mistake is briefing a ring ceremony or golden anniversary as a large dinner. After the rings the room has a long social middle: two families standing, a photographer working, a buffet wall that holds no one. Spend the extra on live counters from ₹1,200 per guest, two to four of the nine, from 100 guests, not on a fourth cuisine at ₹850. Ask for a written menu both families taste, a timed service plan, and the Jain list named at that tasting. The trade-off is a higher plate for a floor that works.

Do not book a spread either family has not eaten. Kravvia seats both sides at a tasting before an engagement or wedding booking, at the portion sizes and formats the night will use: buffet from ₹850 from 50 guests, or two to four live counters from ₹1,200 from 100. The 200+ dish tasting menu, across eight cuisines, is the list they choose from. The menu is written down. The quote on the day is the quote from the tasting.

Asked before every booking

Is one live counter enough for a ring ceremony?

A single counter is not a live-counter format. Two to four, across 100 to 400 guests, is the working range of the nine. Below two the room does not read as live; above four the queues thin and each station underperforms.

Can we run Jain for one family only?

Name the Jain list at the tasting, not the week of the event. Kravvia runs a separate Jain section from a fully isolated Jain kitchen since 2012, alongside the main spread, with its own utensils and staff, from ₹850 per guest, so neither side compromises.

When should we book a December ring ceremony?

October to February needs four to six weeks. Outside that season, two to three weeks, with the tasting inside the same window. A ring ceremony booked inside a fortnight is a menu neither family has tasted.

The roka is 40 guests at home. What format fits?

A staffed buffet starts at 50 guests, from ₹850. Live counters start at 100, from ₹1,200. A home roka below 50 is drop-off from ₹650, from 20 guests: hot, plated, no line in the hall. Do not pad the invite list to clear the buffet minimum.
