Priti S Shah founded Kravvia in Santacruz, Mumbai in 1999: fifty plates, a Jain wedding, a borrowed second oven. Today she runs a women-led house that caters across eight vegetarian cuisines: Punjabi, Jain, Gujarati, Maharashtrian, Thai, Italian, Chinese, Mexican, produced to her specification in FSSAI-licensed partner kitchens. In 2012 Jain service moved to a fully isolated kitchen. Every senior role at Kravvia, by operational policy since 1999, is held by a woman.
