Board lunch catering in BKC: the highest-stakes meal

A 25-to-50 person board lunch in BKC is the corporate meal where the caterer is judged on logistics as much as flavour. The four dietary requirements and the 20-minute setup window.

The board lunch in a BKC tower is the most exposed corporate meal in the Mumbai catering calendar. Decision-makers who travel weekly and eat at the city's serious kitchens carry the same standard into the boardroom. The lunch arrives at one o'clock, sits in front of three or four guests at the senior leadership table, and is on display for the duration of the meeting it is meant to support. Hot, on time, plated cleanly, with dietary coverage that the host has not had to manage — these are the four operational requirements, and they are harder to deliver than most procurement files acknowledge until a lunch has gone wrong.

What a BKC board lunch actually requires

Guest counts for a board or leadership lunch run 15–60 people. The dietary range is where it gets complicated: a 30-person senior leadership team in BKC will reliably include two or three guests who are strict Jain, one who is vegan, and at least one who has a nut allergy. The caterer who can handle all four simultaneously, without the host having to manage it, is worth the premium.

BKC office buildings have strict service-lift windows and lobby check-in requirements. We arrive at the service entrance with all equipment pre-staged — nothing needs to be assembled in the boardroom. Setup time is under 20 minutes for a 30-person plated lunch.

The Kravvia BKC board lunch menu

For a mid-range board lunch, we build around a clean Indian set: Dal Makhani or Dal Fry, Paneer Makhani or Paneer Tikka Masala, one seasonal vegetable preparation (Veg Handi or Veg Jalfrazi), Jeera Rice, fresh bread. Welcome drinks — Virgin Mojito, Cucumber Cooler, fresh juices — are laid before the meeting ends. Starters (Hara Bhara Kabab, Corn Tikki) are plated and ready on arrival.

For boards with an international composition, we often add a pasta station (Pasta in White or Pesto Sauce) or a small Italian spread alongside the Indian main — this covers guests who prefer lighter, less spice-forward food without making them feel like an afterthought.
