A Malad ghar pravesh lunch is a family event before it is a catered one. The guest list reliably spans four generations on a single afternoon — grandparents at the seated section, parents working the puja, cousins arriving in waves through the second hour, and a kids' table running its own parallel meal. The food brief follows the occasion rather than the venue: warm, abundant, structurally suited to a two-hour service window in which guests arrive in waves rather than at one o'clock sharp. The best housewarming catering disappears into the afternoon — what guests remember is the warmth of the room, not the logistics of the kitchen.

What Malad housewarming catering requires

Malad housewarming events typically run 40–120 guests. The format is usually a Saturday or Sunday lunch — the puja in the morning, lunch at 1pm, guests staying through the afternoon. Dietary coverage must include Jain (common in Malad's significant Jain-adjacent community), vegetarian standard, and a kids' corner. The food has to hold well through a two-hour service window since guests arrive in waves after the puja.

The Kravvia housewarming spread

For a 60-80 person housewarming lunch, we build: Welcome drinks on arrival (Shikanji, Aam Panna, Mango Lassi), starters (Mini Punjabi Samosa, Green Peas Ghughra, Corn Tikki), main buffet with Paneer Makhani, Dal Makhani, a seasonal sabzi, Veg Pulao, fresh phulkas from the live station, pickle and papad. Dessert: Moong Dal Halwa warm in small servings, Gulab Jamun, seasonal fruit.

For families with children, we set up a small kids corner within the main buffet — Coin Pizza, Hakka Noodles, French Fries, Chocolate Milkshake. This prevents the children from queuing at the adult counter and lets them eat independently, which parents find enormously useful.

Pricing band

Housewarming catering at Kravvia starts from ₹650 per guest for a full lunch spread with dessert. For Malad events under 60 guests, we offer a compact drop-off package starting from ₹600 per guest — everything arrives heat-retained, labelled, and ready to serve. Add a live Waffle or Churro station from ₹180 per guest.

Booking notes

Housewarming bookings for under 80 guests need seven days' notice. Above 80, fourteen days. We can handle last-minute bookings (72 hours) for drop-off formats — WhatsApp Priti at +91 98207 11758 for urgent requirements. Auspicious dates in the Hindu calendar book fastest — confirm early if your ghar pravesh date falls in a muhurata window.

Frequently asked

Can you do a drop-off for a small 30-person housewarming? Yes — drop-off packages from 30 guests are available for Malad. Everything arrives in insulated containers, labelled and ready to serve.

Do you handle puja prasad separately? Prasad preparation is outside our scope, but we coordinate the timing of our catering setup around the puja schedule.

Is the food auspiciously appropriate — no non-veg, no eggs? Kravvia is 100% vegetarian. No eggs, no meat, no fish. Every item is appropriate for an auspicious occasion.

Can the entire spread be made Jain? Yes — we can prepare a fully Jain housewarming spread with all dishes in Jain spec. Specify at booking.
